What is NeuroNutrition?

NeuroNutrition refers to the holistic approach to supporting nervous system balance to reduce anxiety and depression while increasing stress resilience.

Here at Kacy Shea Nutrition, this is our specialty. We go deep into the biochemistry of anxiety to support the body's physiological and emotional processes that affect your mental health.

There's no way to adequately address your mental health if you're not paying attention to your physical health. Any treatment that is solely focused on treating the mind and ignoring the body is utterly incomplete. The nervous system is the connection between the mind and the body. It plays a crucial role in mental health and neurodegeneration.

Our practitioners are trained on health and wellness from a holistic, functional and mind-body approach. This unique perspective, not shared by modern medicine, allows us to curate specific plans and recommendations that address all the factors that may contribute to your anxiety. This holistic approach, along with our knowledge of habit hacking, allows our clients to make targeted lifestyle tweaks to see maximum results without having to flip their whole lives upside down.

This requires taking a truly holistic approach that includes assessing the following:

  • blood chemistry

  • nutrient status and determining deficiencies

  • organ function

  • immune activity

  • gastrointestinal function

  • level of stress resilience and vagal tone

  • past trauma and childhood neuroprogramming

  • medical history and medications

  • emotional vulnerability

  • hormone status

  • preferences

  • and more

We leave no stone unturned so we can get to the root of what is causing your nervous system imbalance, correct it and impart to you the skills, knowledge, awareness and confidence to maintain resilience to the any future imbalances.
